Arvia Conservatory Mini Suites On P&O Cruises- Everything you need to know

What are the Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia?
Arvia is the second ship in the P&O Cruises fleet to have Conservatory Mini Suites , bringing the outside into the living area through the additional space. It offers great flexibility and creates a distinctive relaxation and socialising space.
The Conservatory Mini-suite is an exciting new addition to the choice of accommodation and a signature option on Arvia. You’ll only find these suites on 2 ships in the P&O cruises fleet; Arvia and her sister ship, Iona.
More videos of the Conservatory Mini Suites are already available now on my YouTube Channel.

Each conservatory mini suite includes an L-shaped seating area which can be closed off or left open according to the time of day or mood. For example, in the morning you can keep it closed to enjoy a quiet coffee overlooking the ocean while everyone else is still asleep.
By day or in the evenings, the room opens out fully onto the balcony. With a direct connection to the sea, the space is cool and shaded – and perfect for chilling out in.
In the evenings, the ‘conservatory’ space transforms into a spacious environment for private celebrations and socialising over pre-dinner drinks with friends and family. As this space leads directly onto the balcony, all configurations offer glorious seascape views.
How many Conservatory Mini Suites are there on P&O cruises Arvia?
There are 87 Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia. Conservatory mini suites are located on Deck 8 and Deck 9 only. Most of the Conservatory Mini Suites are located on Deck 9.
There are 59 Conservatory Mini Suites on Deck 9 and 28 Conservatory Mini Suites on Deck 8. There are no accessible mini suites on Arvia.
There are four grades of Conservatory Mini Suites : CV, CW, CY and CZ. The most expensive grade of cabin is the CV grade and the least expensive cabin grade is the CZ grade. This slight pricing difference reflects their location on board rather than any differences in amenities within the cabin.
- CV grade cabins can be found on Deck 9 Midship
- CW grade cabins can be found on Deck 9 Mid aft and Deck 8 Mid Forward
- CY grade cabins can be found on Deck 9 Aft
- CZ grade cabins can be found on Deck 8 Forward
There are plenty of options to choose from with the Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia. Cabins can sleep between one and 4 people, they are located in different areas of the ship albeit just across 2 decks so whether you prefer your location forward, aft or somewhere in between you will find that there is likely to be a conservatory mini suite in the application.
Arvia also features a selection of 20 interconnecting Conservatory Mini Suites which allows larger families and groups of up to 8 people to travel comfortably together in interconnecting cabin.

Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia which sleep 4 people
There are 32 Conservatory Mini Suites aboard Arvia which sleep up to 4 people. There are 19 cabins on Deck 9 and 13 cabins on Deck 8. Conservatory mini suites sleeping up to 4 people include two additional beds; one in the form of the sofa bed, and one in the form of a pulldown bed.
As these 4 berth cabins you might find that they sell quicker than the other cabins so if you do want to book a specific cabin you need to be quick off the mark when itineraries go on sale.

Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia that have interconnecting cabins
Interconnecting cabins can be an excellent way for larger family groups of at least 2 adults and 3+ children or groups of up to 8 people to travel together in adjoining cabins. When booking these cabins if travelling with children under 18, it is important to note that at least one adult needs to sleep in each cabin.
There is only one set of interconnecting cabins on Arvia which can sleep up to 8 people, (Cabins 8327 & 8239) so if you wish to travel in a group of 8 with interconnecting cabins then I would advise booking these 2 adjoining cabins as soon as they go on sale as they are likely to go quickly. The best way to secure your preferred cabin number is to contact a travel agent.

Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia which have obstructed views
Interestingly, Conservatory Mini Suites with obstructed views do not seem to be in a lower cabin grade (or price bracket) which means that they are likely to be priced the same as other Conservatory Mini Suites without an obstructed view.
If even the faintest whiff of an obstructed view is likely to bother you, then it might be best to steer clear of the following cabins which are listed as having an obstructed view. From photos of the ship so far these ‘obstructions’ just seem to be one of the Infinity whirlpools located on the Promenade deck rather than a lifeboat . However if other guests in a whirlpool in front of your cabin is likely to irritate you then as before it’s best to steer clear of these cabins below.

Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia with balconies visible from the prom deck
The following cabin balconies are located on the prom deck and whilst they are raised up slightly, they are still very much visible from the prom deck. Therefore if you prefer to have a more private balcony then it might be best to book a conservatory mini suite on Deck 9 instead.
It is important to notes that the Conservatory Mini Suites on Deck 8, like all other cabins on Deck 8 do have glass fronted balconies, but these are frosted/obscured glass.

Cheapest Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia
These will be the CZ grade cabins which take up a forward position on the ship. There are only 8 cabins in this grade, and they are located on Deck 8.
The disadvantage with the cabins on this deck is that the balconies are going to be visible from the promenade deck, but if this doesn’t bother you that much, then these are the most cost-effective Conservatory Mini Suites aboard ship.
These cabins also come with the added advantage of some cabins sleeping up to 4 people (see below for cabin numbers) so these cabins can offer a great deal if you book one of these suites when the ‘extra guests sail for £199’ fares, are available.
All cabins are located at the forward area of the ship on the promenade deck. Some are also interconnected so if you don’t like this option, best steer away of booking cabins below marked with ‘*’.

Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia with the biggest balconies
There are 6 Conservatory Mini Suites on board Arvia which have a slightly elongated deck space (see photo above). If additional outdoor space is something you prefer, then the following cabins may be worth looking at.
If privacy is also something which comes high up on your list, then it might be best to opt for the cabins located on Deck 9 instead. All cabins below sleep up to 3 people, with the exception of cabin 9526, 9533, 9537, 9611, 9617 & 9625 which sleep up to 4 passengers.

In addition to the cabins listed above, there are some Conservatory Mini Suites on board Arvia located on Deck 9 just above Sindhu, and Green & Co Featuring Mizuhana which benefit from a slightly extended balcony unfortunately this part of the deck does not seem to be accessible to the use conservatory mini suite cabins.
Interestingly, the deck plan for Arvia shows these cabins as having a balcony which extends right to the edge. Until we have more photos of the build we won’t know for sure.

It all depends upon your preference, but this feature may entice you or frustrate you, either way it’s good to know what cabins this applies to.

Conservatory Mini Suites over The Quays
One thing to bear in mind is that the some Conservatory Mini Suites are located just above The Quays. It’s worth noting that The Quays offers informal dining and promises to be ‘a lively hub for socialising over the food’. As this multi-venue dining option offers everything from morning breakfast through to dinner, it is likely to be busy.
Additionally, The Quays offers outside dining options and as the balconies are located right above these areas you might not find them as quiet or private as others on ship. If this is likely to pose an issue for you then you might wish to steer clear of the following cabins.

9538, 9540, 9542

What is the difference between a conservatory mini suite and a suite on Arvia?
Conservatory Mini Suite and full suites (i.e. B grade suites) differ in 4 ways: perks, balcony space, location and price.
Conservatory mini suites do not have the full range of perks and benefits you will find in the B grade suites on board Arvia.
Secondly all the Conservatory Mini Suites are located with balconies facing out to the starboard or port sides of the ship. You will not find any Conservatory Mini Suites located overlooking the stern (back) with views of the ships wake or at the bow (front) with balconies facing forward. Arvia’s B Grade suites are only located at the bow and right at the aft. There are no Midship Suites on Arvia.
As a general rule, the Conservatory Mini Suites have similar deck space as the standard balconies or superior deluxe balconies aboard ship. The B Grade suites have much more deck space in comparison. However when you take into account the additional ‘conservatory’ space within the Conservatory Mini Suites , you do get some additional (albeit) covered deck space.
Finally there is a jump in price between a conservatory mini suite and a B grade suite. While pricing is fluid, for illustrative purposes only I have included the cost of a cabin based on 2 people sharing a B grade suite and the price range of all the grades Conservatory Mini Suites on a 14 night cruise to the Mediterranean in April 2023 (K308). All cabins are on a guarantee (Early Saver) fare. I’ve also added standard and superior deluxe balcony price ranges for comparison.
- £4,558 – £4,898 Suite (B6-B4 grade) £325 – £349 per cabin night
- £3,698 – £4,258 Conservatory Mini Suite (CZ – CV grade) £264 – £304 per cabin night
- £3,298 – £3,658 Superior Deluxe Balcony (EF – EA grade) £235 – £261 per cabin night
- £2,598 – £2,998 Standard Balcony (GF – GA grade) £185 – £214 per cabin night

What perks do you get in a Conservatory Mini Suite on Arvia?
The best way to think about the Conservatory Mini Suites on Arvia, is that they are like mini suites on other ships in the P&O cruise fleet, but with the added inside ‘conservatory’ space.
