In this post I’m going to run through the complete stateroom Bar and Dining Menu on board Cunard Queen Mary 2
I also have a dining guide for Queen Anne and a Guide to Afternoon Tea on Queen Anne
Dining on Queen Mary 2 is a classy affair, and I would heartily recommend you try out as many of the dining options aboard as possible. However, if you just want to kick back and dine in your stateroom, then there are some delicious options on offer.
On port days, you might want to have a quick and hearty breakfast served straight to your room rather than make your way to the busy Britannia Restaurant or Kings Court Buffet. Or alternatively you might prefer a relaxing breakfast or brunch on your balcony on a sea day.
Room service is a great option if you’re relaxing on your balcony on a sea day. It’s especially convenient if you fancy a small snack to tide you over until your next meal, but don’t fancy the hassle of having to move from your private place in the sun (first world problems, I know).
Room service is also great for night owls who have returned to their cabin from a fabulous late night at G32 nightclub and are in need of a tasty late-night snack.
And did you know that you can get afternoon tea served to your stateroom? You do now.
Does Cunard Charge for Room service?
Yes and No – It all depends what time you order and what class of cabin you are sailing in.
Cunard room service use to be free (with some food items and beverages incurring a supplementary charge). However a change in June 2025 means that all items ordered after 10:00am in Britannia grade staterooms, now incur a charge. Room Service is still complimentary 24 hours a day in Grills Suites and Britannia Club Staterooms.

Breakfast in Bed Room Service Menu on Queen Mary 2
Breakfast in Bed is served between 7:00am and 10:00am. While all other items on the room service menu can be ordered by calling Room Service from your stateroom phone, items for the breakfast menu need to be ordered by filling in the breakfast card (available in your room) and hung outside the night before (before 1:00am). There is no breakfast in bed available on disembarkation day.
When ordering your breakfast, Cunard gives you the option of choosing different 30-minute slots when you’d like your breakfast to be served.
Items on the Breakfast menu include juices, hot beverages, cereals, items from the onboard bakery, fruit, yoghurts, cold cuts, and hot breakfasts.
At a small additional cost, you can even order something to make breakfast more special – such as champagne, caviar or a Bloody Mary.
Brunch Room Service Menu on Queen Mary 2
If you forgot to hang your breakfast card on your door or if you’ve opted for a well-deserved lie in, then the brunch menu is served between 10:00am and 12:00pm. However since the June 2025 charges and menu changes this will now cost you $10 per person.
🔖Pro Tip: If you are a late riser, and don't want to incur the new room service charges, then try to order room service breakfast for the latest slot (9:30am - 10:00am)
Here you will find items such as Eggs Royale with smoked trout, french pastries, and sausage muffin, along with a good mix of vegetarian options such as, avocado on toast, Miso Granola and Mediterranean Breakfast frittata.
Day Room Service Menu on Queen Mary 2
The Day menu is available between 12:00pm and 11:00pm.
On embarkation day the day menu is available from 3:00pm – this is a great option to consider if you have a late boarding time and just want to relax in the comfort of your stateroom for sail away while you unpack. However, since the June 2025 menu refresh, all items now incur a charge.
Items on the day menu include soups and salads, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, curries, and tempting desserts.
If you want to push the boat out that little bit more (pardon the pun) then you might want to opt for some of the Signature Supplement items such as a 28-day aged Angus sirloin steak, the Murgh Makhani or an artisan cheese plate.
Late Night Room Service Menu on Queen Mary 2
The late-night menu kicks in at 11:00pm and runs right through the night until 7:00am.
Some of the more popular items on the day menu also appear on the late-night offering putting in a double shift and rising to the challenge to stave off the hunger pangs from the appetite you’ve worked up in the G32 nightclub.
Hot dishes include soups, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, curries, salads and pasta. These all now incur an additional charge since the June 2025 menu refresh. Some Signature Supplements also make a reappearance but it is disappointing that desserts have been removed from the late night menu.
Afternoon Tea Room Service Menu on Queen Mary 2
Afternoon team is so ingrained into the quintessential British-ness of this iconic ocean liner, that Cunard still offer afternoon tea as a room service option. However since the June 2025 menu refresh there is now a $10 charge per person.
There there are already numerous places you can take afternoon tea on board Cunard and Queen Mary 2 offers the Queens Room, Champagne Lounge, Kings Court Buffet, Sir Samuels and if staying in a Grills stateroom, the Grills Lounge as options.
Served between 3:00pm and 4:30pm delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and a selection of handmade parties can be delivered to your stateroom. The only dilemma is, do you put cream first or jam first?
(‘Jam first’ is the only correct answer to this question).
