This unique dining venue on board Cunard’s Newest Ship, Queen Anne (and post refit on Queen Elizabeth) is focused on ‘mindful eating’ and nutritionally balanced dishes made with fresh ingredients. Even the cocktails are ‘healthy’… well sort of. Read on for my review and I’ll take you though everything you need to know including food and drinks menus.

Where is the Pavilion Wellness Café on Queen Anne?

Located in the upper level of the Pavilion Pool the Wellness Café offers light, nutritionally balanced dishes made to order with fresh ingredients. The Wellness Café is a convenient dining venue near The Pavilion Wellness Studio and Pavilion Pool. It’s also a great spot to grab a light breakfast or lunch; The nutritionally balanced dishes are full on flavour but won’t weigh you down post workout or swim.

The Wellness Cafe is located in the center on the ship on Deck 10

When is the Pavilion Wellness Café open?

The café is open for breakfast and dinner.

Pavilion Wellness Café opening times:
Breakfast: 8:00am – 11:00am
Lunch: 12:00 noon – 3:00pm
Overlooking the Pavilion Pool
🔖Pro Tip: On embarkation day, this is a wonderful place to grab a late lunch and is much quieter than the Artisan’s buffet.

Is the Wellness Café included in your fare?

Yes – this is one of the dining venues which is included in your fare on board. While the food is included, drinks (including fresh juices, smoothies, and kombuchas) are chargeable.

How do you order food from the Wellness Café?

Just like the less virtuous full-on fast-food Pavilion Grill on the deck below, all food in the Pavilion Café is cooked fresh to order (you even can watch it being prepared if you are an inquisitive little so-and-so like I am). You head up to the counter, order your options and then your server will hand you your pager. Then you just wait.

To Order, you head up to the counter, order your options and then your server will hand you your pager. Then you just wait.

Waiting times when I was on board were around 10 minutes, which can be easily filled with the task or ordering a cocktail (at lunch obviously) or a cold pressed juice, and some people watching.

When your pager finally goes off – often without warning, buzzing and lighting up like a Christmas tree and momentarily scaring the bejeebies out of you in the process – you head up to the counter to collect your order.

What food is available at the Pavilion Wellness Café?

There are two main menus – a nourishing breakfast menu available between 8:00am – 11:00am and an all-day menu available between 8:00am– 3:00pm. While the menus lean unashamedly towards vegan and vegetarian dishes, you can add extra protein to your plate in the form of grilled chicken or salmon (diced tofu is also available) or at breakfast you can a hen’s egg or scrambled egg white.

If you have a sweet tooth (which I definitely do) fruit and sweet treats are on offer in the self-serve fridge area next to the main kitchen. Here you can help yourself to guilt-free sweet treats such as a Vegan Brownie or a Nut Butter & Cherry Jam Chia Cup.

Plant-based, vegetarian, and gluten free dishes are all labelled, but specific dietary requirements or allergies can also be catered for. Although it is recommend consulting with a member of crew before placing your order.

My review of the Cunard Pavilion Wellness Cafe

While the options sound ferociously healthy, they are also very tasty. The plates and bowls on offer fill you up nicely for a day ashore or relaxing on board without being stodgy. Eating from the Pavillion Wellness Café menu also fills you with a level of virtuousness enough to cancel out the guilt of a one too many cocktails or afternoon teas. It’s also a great option for a detox for the morning after the night before and the healthy shots definitely have some pep in them (try the ginger and cayenne pepper).

The menus won’t be to everyone’s taste – especially if you enjoy a good Cunard fry up, or a burger in the Golden Lion – but it’s a location I wouldn’t write off visiting while on board. In fact, it was always very quiet and makes for a relaxing breakfast or lunch without the queues.

If you love a bit of atmosphere and entertainment, The Pavilion Wellness Cafe is a great venue to dine – especially in warmer climes when the retractable roof is open.

I enjoyed the food I sampled here. The only downside was that with limited time on board my 4-day mini cruise, I didn’t have enough time to sample more options – as a few definitely piqued my curiosity.

If you are on a longer cruise, I expect the wellness café is an oasis among the gluttony and over-indulgence we can oh so easily fall into on a longer cruise holiday. In this respect, it’s a welcome addition on board.

For those on a vegan or vegetarian diet, this is a great dining venue which makes plant-based options the star rather than the afterthought.

Additionally, since Cunard have introduced their room service charges in June 2025 for Britannia grade cabins, this is another favourable alternative for a post-10am brunch and worth heading to if you can’t stand jostling for a seat at the Artisan’s buffet. And extra bonus points if you’re saying in one of the Staterooms on deck 10 as the café will be a hop, skip, and a jump from your cabin.

The location is lovely and there is plenty of seating. Although the venue is likely to become quite loud an echoey later on in the day as the pool area starts to fill up and a film or concert plays on the big screen, or some live music is scheduled. However, if you love a bit of atmosphere and entertainment, it’s a great venue to dine – especially in warmer climes when the retractable roof is open.

What drinks are available at the Pavilion Wellness Café?

Variety is the spice of life, and while there are lots of healthy soft drinks, and low & no alcoholic options available, there is still a great selection of cider, beers, wines and the Cunard Perfect serve gins on offer – plus a few cocktails. I’ve added the drinks menu below.

I definitely recommend the ‘Pepperpolitan’ (which has red pepper as an ingredient so I guess is healthy and counts as one of your five a day?) and the ‘Mystic Elixir’ which comes in a silver goblet that wouldn’t look too out of place in a Harry Potter Film.

Cunard Pavilion Wellness Café Menus

Here are the menus. The Build your bowl offering is almost like a pick and mix option – meaning that you could have a week on board and still not get through every combination. There are actually 9,450 different combinations from the options offered, so you’re unlikely to run out of choices.
