P&O Cruises have released more exciting details about what we can expect on Arvia their newest ship, arriving in December 2022. She really is certainly measuring up to be an exciting sunshine resort.

Building of P&O Cruises newest Excel class ship is already underway at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. With holidays on Arvia set to go on sale later this month, P&O cruises is certainly teasing guests with a glimpse of exciting new features exclusive to its latest addition to the fleet.

P&O Cruises Arvia will feature an Altitude Skywalk, the first-ever high ropes experience at sea, a swim-up bar, an American diner and a new restaurant Green & Co featuring Mizuhana serving a plant and fish-led menu.

Billed as the “epitome of a sunshine resort” Arvia is designed to bring guests even closer to the sea, sky and shore, reflecting its name meaning ‘from the seashore’, and will also feature P&O Cruises first-ever retractable roof SkyDome.

What new features will P&O Cruises Arvia have?

Amongst the details released so far, Arvia will include the following exciting new features on board her 16 decks:

  • Altitude Skywalk
  • Altitude Minigolf
  • A swim-up bar
  • A restaurant serving a plant and fish-led menu
  • Mizuhana sushi bar
  • A new American Diner
  • A SeaScreen
  • A retractable SkyDome
  • New Oasis Spa treatments for couples

P&O Cruises Arvia Altitude Skywalk

Designed to appeal to all ages, guests will be able to choose two different adventurous Altitude Skywalk high ropes courses, 54m above the ocean.

P&O Cruises Arvia Altitude Minigolf

Altitude Minigolf comprises of nine mini golf challenges and is another P&O Cruises first. Altitude Minigolf will be located below Altitude Skywalk.

In an exciting addition to the facilities available at the aft, Arvia will feature a swim-up bar and stunning infinity pool providing uninterrupted views of the ship’s wake and offering a unique on-deck experience.

P&O Cruises Arvia SkyDome

By day the SkyDome will be a relaxed pool environment with dining and entertainment. By night, guests can expect stunning aerial performances and theatre productions.

P&O Cruises Arvia SeaScreen

Just like her sister Azura, Arvia will offer guests the chance to watch blockbuster movies al fresco on her SeaScreen.

Arvia will feature twelve restaurants joined by a further eight more casual places to eat.

Green & Co featuring Mizuhana Sushi Bar

The new Green & Co restaurant will offer a plant and fish-led menu, served in chic and elegant surroundings. This restaurant has been especially developed for Arvia.

Mizuhana sushi bar will be within Green & Co where guests can watch expert chefs at work while taking in sea views. Expert food-pairing advice and vibrant cocktails will also complete the experience.

6th Street Diner

Also on board is a new American Diner, 6th Street Diner. Informal by day with a sophisticated night-time vibe, it will feature retro seating, atmospheric lighting and juke box and serving all-American flavours including speciality fried chicken and waffles with bourbon mascarpone.

P&O cruises Arvia will also feature P&O Cruises other dining venues and guest favourites including distinctive signature restaurants such as Epicurean, Sindhu and The Glass House, as well as newer additions which can also be found on Arvia’s sister ship, Iona such as The Keel & Cow and The Olive Grove.

Arvia’s Oasis Spa will boast new exclusive treatments. There are two couples suites each with a hammam and steam room, a therapeutic cool room, a restorative salt sauna and an invigorating Kneipp Walk which combines a pebble foot massage with hot and cold water treatments to stimulate circulation and boost vitality.

Similar to sister ship Iona, Arvia will be powered by liquefied natural gas as part of P&O Cruises ongoing commitment to sustainable travel.

The 185,000 tonne ship, will also be home to Ocean Studios cinema, 1,300sqm of shopping and the Oasis Spa and Health Club.
