If anything takes your fancy, I’ve included a handy little link which takes you direct to the seller’s web page. I’ve consciously tried to include as many small businesses in this list as possible. Unique jewellery gifts for cruise lovers
If you’re looking for some original, eye-catching, nautically inspired jewellery then I think you’ll find this selection of gifts from Mincanta quite interesting.
You’ll find some more nautically inspired jewellery here with this cute lifebuoy necklace from The Charm Castle which can be personalised …and there’s even a matching bookmark
Homeware gifts for cruise lovers
If you’re after something for the home, then you can’t go wrong with a nautically inspired cushion. I particularly like this one from The Picture Gallery which can be personalised:
Personalised gifts show that you have put some thought and care into choosing a gift. This name frame using the semaphore alphabet from glynwestdesign is a perfect gift for a family that cruises regularly or spell out a special phrase such as “I love you”.
Over the past few months I’ve been searching out Christmas tree ornaments from various cruise lines I’ve sailed with. While you may only be able to purchase specific cruise lines ornaments whilst you’re on ship, you’ll find a selection of cruise ship Christmas tree ornaments here , here, here and here.
Practical gifts for cruise lovers
If you prefer to give gifts which are less gimmicky and more practical, then you can’t go wrong with this following selection.
This Mermaid bottle opener from Culinary Concepts is from their seashore collection. They also do other nautically inspired collections and there are some lovely products and gifts on offer
These organic nautically inspired multi use cotton bags from LifePirateDesigns tick all the boxes; they are practical, stylish and the theme is spot on for any cruise lover.
The Scrubba wash bag is perfect to take on a short cruise. The Scrubba wash bag is the world’s first pocket-sized portable washing machine and one of Forbes’ greatest gifts for cruise lovers.
The Scrubba bag has its unique flexible, internal washboard that allows for an electricity-free, machine quality wash anywhere in just minutes. Using the laundry service on board can be expensive – plus no one wants to be spending valuable cruise time on a sunny sea day waiting for a machine to become available to do laundry ourselves.
The original size washbag (see photo below) is great for T-shirts and shorts (we used it a lot on a recent cruise on Sky Princess and saved so many trips to the ships laundry) and the MINI version is perfect for underwear. Plus both bags can also double as a dry or wet bag – perfect for shore excursions to the beach and both bags also fold away neatly taking up hardly any space in you bag or case.

At one point during 2020 I think there were more cruise ships anchored off Torbay than there were in Barcelona.
Ian Williams, A Devon based photographer with over 30 years’ experience in the industry Ian took an interest in capturing photos of the cruise ships anchored off Torbay and Lyme Bay in South Devon during the COVID-19 pandemic. His website also features lots more photos of the cruise ships. Like this beautiful photo of Queen Mary 2, below.

Bring your favourite Famous Ships to life with this entertaining and educational Top Trumps card game! I bought this as a Secret Santa gift last year and I know they were well received and were taken on a subsequent cruise holiday. And it’s a perfect game for two!
These are available from other sellers online, but I’ve chosen the following link because all profits benefit the work of the Royal British Legion
