A New Dining Destination on Valiant Lady

It’s great to see an Indian restaurant offering finally on board Virgin Voyages and it seems Ariya represents the next step in Virgin Voyages’ evolving food and drinks programme. Each restaurant across the fleet is designed to stand as a culinary destination in its own right, and Ariya introduces a cuisine that adds new depth to the onboard dining collection.

Indian cuisine is enjoying renewed global recognition, with chefs and restaurants around the world celebrating its regional diversity, refined techniques and complex flavour profiles.

Developed in partnership with Indie Culinaire and acclaimed chef, television personality and cookbook author Maneet Chauhan, Ariya showcases the breadth of Indian cuisine through dishes that combine tradition with contemporary presentation.

When will Ariya be Available on Valiant Lady?

Following her dry dock, Ariya will debut aboard Valiant Lady in May 2026, offering sailors a new dining experience that blends regional Indian cuisine, thoughtful design and an atmosphere that invites guests to linger over every course.

The interior draws inspiration from the intensity and rhythm of India’s spice markets, reflecting the richness of turmeric, cardamom and peppercorn. Layered wood tones and grasscloth wallcoverings provide depth and texture, while hammered metal and woven cane accents add crafted detail.

Why Ariya?

The restaurant’s name carries a personal connection to the Virgin story.

Ariya was Sir Richard Branson’s great-great-grandmother, a traveller from the coastal town of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu who journeyed through distant ports with curiosity and an open table. She believed that food had the power to connect people across cultures and distances.

That idea sits at the heart of Ariya, where shared meals and bold flavours are designed to bring guests together.

Where is Ariya Located on Board Valiant Lady?

Each evening, Ariya transforms the ship’s Razzle Dazzle restaurant into a vibrant 220-seat dining destination. Razzle Dazzle will continue to serve breakfast and brunch during the day.

The design draws inspiration from the colour and energy of India’s spice markets. Rich tones echo turmeric, cardamom and peppercorn, while layered wood finishes and textured wall coverings create warmth and depth.

The restaurant features several distinct spaces, including intimate booths inspired by Cuddalore, a semi-private dining area framed by decorative screens, and a central bar that anchors the room with a lively soundtrack blending Bollywood classics, Punjabi pop and global music.

What is the Ariya Menu on Valiant Lady

Ariya’s menu highlights the remarkable regional diversity of Indian cuisine. Complex spice blends and aromatic ingredients appear across dishes designed to encourage exploration and sharing.

One of the central inspirations is chaat, India’s iconic street food tradition known for its crisp textures, tangy flavours and bold combinations.

Each dish reflects a balance of flavour, fragrance and presentation, offering guests a culinary journey across the country’s diverse regions.

Menu highlights include:

➡️ Lamb Shank Biryani
➡️ Goan Curried Mussels
➡️ Malabar Coconut Crab Cake
➡️ Puffed Rice and Avocado Chaat
➡️ Tandoori Pistachio-Crusted Snapper

Cocktails Inspired by the Spice Route

Ariya’s drinks menu mirrors the same regional inspiration found in the kitchen.

Every table begins with a complimentary welcome sip of jaljeera, a refreshing blend of tamarind and cumin traditionally used to awaken the palate.

Signature cocktails include the Maharani Morning with rose, cardamom and sparkling wine, the Golden Hour Spritz with saffron and honey, and the Bangalore Old Fashioned featuring jaggery and cardamom.

A curated wine list, Indian small-batch spirits and a traditional chai tea service round out the drink selection.

Standout cocktails include:

➡️ Maharani Morning with rose, cardamom, and sparkling wine
➡️ Golden Hour Spritz layered with saffron and honey
➡️ Saffron & Silk with scotch and toasted coconut smoke
➡️ Bangalore Old Fashioned with jaggery and cardamom
➡️ The Seventh Leaf, a botanical zero-proof creation
