Virgin Voyages has revealed plans for what could become the most iconic event ever staged at sea. In February 2027, all four ships in its adults-only fleet will meet at a single point in the Caribbean, creating a historic moment for modern cruising. Branded as “Sisters at Sea”, this unprecedented gathering will bring together more than 15,000 passengers and crew across Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady and Brilliant Lady.

A Historic First for the Cruise Industry
With this epic meet up at sea Virgin Voyages will achieve something no cruise line has done before, a full fleet meet-up in open water. The ships will converge at a precise coordinate in the Caribbean, 38 nautical miles north of Nuevitas, Cuba, with nothing but open water in every direction in effect transforming the open ocean into a floating celebration.
This level of coordination highlights both the scale of Virgin Voyages’ growth and its ambition to deliver standout experiences. Fleet-wide gatherings are extremely rare due to the logistical complexity involved. Coordinating four large cruise ships to meet at sea requires precision planning, advanced navigation and ideal conditions. It also serves as a key milestone for the brand and its rapid rise in the cruise market.
What Is Sisters at Sea?
Nearly six years to the day after the first ladyship, Scarlet Lady was first delivered, Sisters at Sea is designed as a multi-ship celebration that blends entertainment, community and spectacle.
Sailors on these voyages will not only witness the historic meet-up and a synchronised horn salute from all four ships, but also gain access to:
➡️ Special onboard programming and themed events
➡️ A heightened entertainment schedule across all ships
➡️ Early insight into Virgin Voyages’ future plans and developments
