I’m Steph, a UK Cruise Blogger and the cruise obsessed person behind Cruise with Amber.
I create content which helps you get the most out of your cruise – whatever your budget. My aim is to inspire you to try a cruise or, if you already have your sea legs, my aim is to encourage you to explore more ashore.
Travel really started for me in my 20s when I chose to travel around the world. During this year circumnavigating the globe, I was able to create lifelong memories in Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii – amongst other places.
Travel and exploring new places have always been a source of energy and enjoyment for me. Cruise holidays now offer me the opportunity to continue to explore many new places in one trip, with the luxury of only having to unpack once.
Happiest at sea
I’ve always had an insatiable appetite for the sea. I grew up near the beautiful coastline of South Wales (you should definitely visit sometime). I’m sure there’s sea water in my veins – and i’m also convinced I was a mermaid in a past life. 🧜🏻♀️
Over the past 20 years I’ve sailed on over 30 cruises and spent over 200 nights at sea. I have sailed with a range of cruise lines – staring out with P&O Cruises Oceana back in 2005 when I stepped on board my very first cruise.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to sail on ocean liners and river cruises, from mega ships to small ships and everything in between. I thoroughly enjoy both the glamour and elegance of traditional cruises as well as the exciting difference and new approaches to voyaging modern cruise lines bring.

I have been featured in the Joy of Cruising Again and the Joy of Cruising Podcast and was awarded ‘Best European Cruise Guide 2023 – UK’ in the Nautical Tourism Awards and ‘Most Insightful Cruise Guide 2024 – Europe’, Marine Tourism Awards.
